Earlier this year, the new Year 10 Baristas began their training at Canterbury RSL Club and finally the Frangipani Cafe is up and running again. A new coffee machine has been installed and a barista from Migliore Cafe conducted a workshop to train the Year 10 and Fraser students on the new machine. From the comments on the taste of the coffees they delivered to staff, it is clear the training has been successful.
The students have been very excited and motivated, taking orders and preparing coffee and milk shakes. Ashleigh acknowledges, ‘Working in the café is fabulous experience', while Raisa admits that, ‘it can be stressful, but we're constantly learning new techniques and skills'. Jade explains how she ‘loves the challenges and working with her friends'.
The café will be opened every Monday and every second Thursday.
