All schools in Australia participate in the annual national collection of data on students with disability. The broad categories of disability are physical, cognitive, sensory and social/emotional. Students who have adjustments to their learning, or are supported at school are included in the data collection.
Schools and education authorities use the data to assist their planning to meet the needs of students. Personal details, such as student names or other identifying information are not provided so that confidentiality and privacy are upheld.
Moorefield Girls is working on the collection of data for 2017. Meetings will be held with parents/carers/students to identify goals, and create Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) to support student learning and development. These meetings will take place over the next few weeks.
