06 Feb 2018
Welcome back everyone and a special warm welcome to our new students across years 7-11. I am very excited about this year as the school embarks on a new journey with our 2018-2020 School Plan. Throughout 2017, we had many highlights and we ended with an amazing evening showcasing our students' talent at the Performing Arts Night, and on the very last day, we were celebrating outstanding HSC results. Our HSC results (as reported in the media) show significant improvement across all areas, a trend which will continue into the future.
Our Year 7 students have been friendly, excited, engaged, and organised. From what they tell me, they have enjoyed this first week. The benefit of an ‘all girls' learning environment is that our girls are empowered to take risks with their learning and supported to be participants in all that we offer. I hope to see our new parents of Year 7 at the first P&C meeting on Wednesday 28 February.
As this is the first newsletter of 2018, it is timely for me to introduce you to key contact people in the school. We always encourage communication, whether it be by phone, email or in person. This is the best way for us all to work together to ensure your daughter is happy at school and able to achieve academically. Don't hesitate to make contact with one of the following staff members.
Natalie Hale – Principal
Deputy Principal – Rose Daniels
Head Teacher Welfare – Christie Beynon
Year Advisors (Year 7 – Emma Darling, Year 8 – Laura Docherty, Year 9 – Julie Maddocks, Year 10 – Bernard Williamson, Year 11 – Amy Stone, Year 12 – Kerri Zannettides)
Once again, welcome to the beginning of what will be a year of inspiration, challenge, excellence and opportunity at Moorefield Girls High School. Looking forward to working with all of you.
Ms N Hale, Principal
