Recently a group of students in Year 12 took part in a Hamlet HSC Symposium at the Seymour Centre, USYD. The focus of the symposium was to enhance student understanding of the Shakespeare text for their studies in HSC English.
The Hamlet Symposium excursion was quite informative and well planned out in accordance with the lecture style presented to the students. The lecturer gave an articulate and distinct talk on Hamlet which was an eye opener to the HSC style responses. (Eman)
I found the Hamlet symposium excursion helpful in terms of how to expand on particular themes and what scenes to choose to reinforce particular arguments. A great lecture and a powerful drama act contributed to a successful symposium. (Kristy)
This was a useful and educational lecture that gave us an insight into deep concepts regarding Hamlet and the HSC requirements for answering essay questions. (Ayat)
I enjoyed the excursion especially the detail that the speaker went into about the scenes of the play. I learnt so much from the lecture. The speaker knew so much about the play and I was glad I participated. (Rana)
