I am looking forward to seeing many families at the Presentation Day next Friday, 8th December. This is an important occasion where we recognise the outstanding achievement of students in all areas of school life. There are several events happening before the end of the year including Orientation Day for our new Year 7 (2018) students, Performing Arts Night, Year 12 assessment tasks and the release of HSC results, amongst others. It is good to see students heavily involved in both academic and non-academic activities that are on offer at our school.
Moorefield Girls has recently showcased our STEM program to other schools and we have purchased over $4000 of resources recently to enhance this program. Other funds spent at the school include an upgrade to our long jump pit and the replacement of old sporting equipment with new resources. We received a rollout of 14 new computers this term which have been placed in our computer labs to allow students to work with a 1-1 ratio. In 2018, we hope to upgrade our library to make it the ultimate learning space with the latest technology, furniture and books!
